Undoubtedly the Best Hunting Location in the World
Congratulations! You have a permit for Hunter’s World - the only private reserve where hunters have unlimited access to game animals in a mixture of wild and preserved land 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, with no bag limit. We kindly request that all kills are brought back to a nearby lodge so they can be registered and your reserve trophy score updated.
With close to one million acres, Hunter’s World is the perfect habitat for trophy game and there are plenty of small game and varmints as well. Our lands are very diverse and range from flat woodland by large glacial lakes, forested highland with mixed hardwood and coniferous forests, a central plain with rolling hills and moorland and to the south a mix of forest and reclaimed farmland by a great river with massive sandstone bluffs.
The game stock is carefully maintained in designated areas but there are plenty of wild areas and no fencing to limit animal movement - thus maintaining the fair game principle. The maintained areas contain high-quality food plots which greatly benefit the nutrition and the size of the deer on the estate. Of course, deer aren’t the only creatures roaming these lands. There’s also a healthy population of wild hog, many types of fowl, and at the extremes of the estate areas have been maintained to support dangerous game including wolves, bear and cougar.
Hunter’s World has been operating now for over 70 years and in this time we have seen a great increase in the population and quality of the animals thanks to our practices. As a permit holder you have unlimited access to the main hunting areas and the basic lodge facilities. Permit holders are encouraged to become members of one of the competing franchised lodges so they can take advantage of the extra facilities available and enter into inter-lodge competitions.
Hunter’s World Rules
- All hunters must sign in prior to hunts and check out before departure; hunting will begin from a designated lodge building. All hunters will be required to sign the appropriate legal documentation.
- Blaze orange is recommended but not mandatory. We strongly suggest ear and eye protection should be worn but this is left up to the individual.
- No alcohol during hunts. Bars are available at the lodges for post-hunt celebration and liquor can be drunk at designated camping sites.
- Firearms are to be unloaded with actions opened and stowed while in built up areas.
- No shooting at or within 500 feet of any building. No shooting within 500 feet of any public roadway.
- There is no bag limit but please field dress and carry all kills back to a lodge for registration.
- Hunter’s World encourages ethical hunting; hunters are expected to use appropriate ammunition and to cause minimum distress to the animal. Bounty and the Trophy Score will be influenced by this consideration: the lodge staff member’s decision on this will be final with no appeal.
- All weapons to be used on the trip must be stored on site and ammunition purchased from a licensed site vendor.
- No trespassing on private lodge property without permission.
- No shooting of birds on the ground.
- Sportsmanlike conduct and proper field attire required at all times. Guests at Hunter’s World will be expected to show respect and courtesy to their fellow hunters.
- Dogs are to be on lead when going to and leaving hunting area. Dogs are to be under owner’s/handler’s control at all times.
- Shooting of non-preserve wildlife - particularly varmints - is encouraged, and can be scored.
- Have Fun!
