New Rangers for January 2010
With 4 new Rangers added in December, we're now taking nominations for January's batch.
Simply post in this thread, explaining why you would like to become a Hunter's World Ranger and we'll add you to the poll that will run during January.
The nominations who receive the most public votes will then be added to the Ranger's final list, who will then vote on the final selection.
Good luck everyone.
Don't forget, the more active you are in the forum, the better chance you have of getting voted in!

Re: New Rangers for January 2010
Hi!
I would really like to become a Ranger and to do my best for this game and to support the developers with my suggestions and feelings about the game.
I played almost all available hunting games and I have a big connection to hunting itself, because my neighbour is a Hunter in real life and he took me out to the fields and woods since my early childhood, teaching me a lot about the environment and the wildlife. (AND PATIENCE) haha.
The concept of Hinter´s World sounds really great to me and I can´t wait to go out there and test and be active with this community. The idea of going out for hunting in a big world, created by the developers to be realistic and simulation as much as possible is really what I am looking for and what I have been missing on most available hunting games right now.
Also the Idea of going out hunting together with other members and friends of the community is something I really want to experience (had some experiences about that in DeerHunter 2005, but that was more like a server battle and more "rushing for kills" than community and simulation).
So I am really looking forward to this game.
Thanks for reading.

Hey All,
I just want to nominate myself as a new ranger! sounds weird though to nominate yourself
. I hope i live up to each of your standards with the posts and discussions i have been involved in, in getting the very best out of this game. So from here it is up to you guys and girls to judge me. Have fun and good!

Re: New Rangers for January 2010
I think i would have been a great ranger because i know how a good hunting game should be, and have much experience in testing hunting games and i spend almost all my spare time hunting(when I'm not playing hunting games
). And after i hopefully have become a ranger in December i will answer all your questions about the game, and try as hard as i can to find stuff that needs being added or changed on, and i will give the developers feedback of what i think of the game and i will give them ideas to whats needed! well if that wasn't some good reasons of me being a ranger, well then there's not much i can do
Vote for me please
Thanks!

I would love to be a ranger...I feel it is important to get a woman's point of view after all we are the best hunters in the entire world....ie....the lioness, the tigeress, the mother bear I could go on for days. Would just like a chance to strut my stuff!!

I will nominate myself even though that seems to feel a bit strange.
While I have no experience with RL hunting, I do have experience with other hunting games and several beta tests under my belt. I feel that my perspective and contributions to the future of this game could offer quite a bit to the non hunter types that may find a home here down the road.
I enjoy discussion and development of a project of this magnitude and look forward to working with all of you on it in the future.
Thanks,
Graufalke

Re: New Rangers for January 2010
With the current content we have to test and the total number of Rangers we have on hand, I don't think you will see any new ones being added for the month of January, maybe February. I may be wrong and speaking out of turn, but I think my statement is pretty much accurate

Processor: Intel i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz
M/B: ASUS P6T SE
GPU: EVGA GTX 280 Super Clocked
Memory: 8GB of DDR3 RAM
Dual Boot, Windows XP Pro Service Pack 3 & Win7 Ultimate 64

I'm inclined to agree, with the launch of Monumental's other game upcoming, I doubt we'll see new rangers for January at least.

... but finally, mrtibbs is the official telling us what's really going on. Haven't seen him for a while now, but maybe he's still on holidays - at the moment, even in the UK skiing is well possible...
