Nominate yourself to become a Ranger
Please use this thread to nominate yourself to become the next Hunter's World Ranger. Don't forget, the more active you are in the forum, the more chance you'll have of being chosen.
We'll collate all of the nominations in April, when you'll be added to a poll that the current Rangers will vote on.
Good luck!

Re: Nominate yourself to become a Ranger
Mr Tibbs et al:
I would like to nominate myself as a worthy member for consideration as a Ranger.
I have actively played and enjoyed success in virtually all hunting genre since the release of DH1 back in the late 90's.All have known me by my in game moniker of 7STW.That. conincidentally, happens to be one of most favorite hunting cartridges for most of the world's big game animals.
I started in competitive shooting in 1971 and was a member of the USARMTU award winning team as well as a Principal instructor in handgun. At the time of my Honorable Discharge,I was slated to attend the US national championships at Camp Perry.I have been a student of both handguns and long guns continuously for 40 years.I have hunted and taken numerous recod book animals across North America and Africa over many years of hunting.
Rob Krijns and I became close friends during the growth and devlopment of TH3.I beta tested many of his maps...which were held in high acclaim by the gaming community.
It would be fun to participate in the growth and evolution of HW into a premier hunting game.
Thanks
7STW

Re: Nominate yourself to become a Ranger
I hereby nominate myself to become a Ranger.
Now, I understand that there are several more before me who has been a member of this community for a longer time and as such is more worthy but I'd still like to put my name in there.
I've been a e-hunter for 10 years starting with the early Deer Hunter titles
I'm from a family of hunters and we hunt roe deer and moose primarily. Roe deer we hunt with both rifle and shotgun depending what time of the year it is. Nothing better then a good huntin dog workin its stuff
I'm not an actual hunter myself. Not due to lack of interest but simply cause I don't trust my aim in all situations and if you don't trust your aim you shouldn't point a weapon against a living being.
Instead, I sit beside in the stand and observe as well as handling the dog and driving the animal manually when we use a drive line (unsure of the word but when you walk on a line through the forest herding the animals).
I have also been a beta tester for another game called Star Trek Online so I'm aware of the necessity of not always doing the "right" thing and most effective but simply try everything cause you want to find the flaws.
I'm very impressed by this project so far and yes, this is last months post re-used.

Re: Nominate yourself to become a Ranger
This is not really to nominate myself as I am new here, but rather to register my interest in becoming a ranger. I'd love to be a ranger so i can play the game im trying to contribute to. So keep an eye on me between now and April
. In any case I'm very excited about this whole project and it has been a sort of 'wishlist item' of mine to have such a game since I played my first hunting game.

I'd like to greedingly nominate myself to become a Ranger!
No lies here - I've never beta tested anything before it was officially released. I do however have the habit of shooting random things to see what happens, and I tend to run off exploring instead of quickly finishing mission after mission. Any bugs or odd things I come across will be immediately reported to whoever deals with them. I understand that it is my responsiblity to help test the game and search for bugs should I get nominated to become a Ranger.
Sounds like I'm reading some sort of Terms of Agreement, doesn't it?
One thing I LOVE to do is come up with ideas for games that I like. Getting a better understanding of this game would help me to suggest improvements or additions to the game.
Hunting Games I've Played: Rocky Mountain Trophy Hunter, Cabela's Dangerous Hunts, The Hunter.
Thankyou for your time.

As far as game testing experience goes i have no had previous experience , however i have used many online rpg, simulations and i am comfortable with most of the proccesses that go into their development.
From my point of view it is always useful to have people with no testing experience to try out the games in their development as they can see it exactly how your average player would with no experience.
I have lots of real life hunting experience both in the UK and in the USA where i used to live. Ranging from big game like deer right down to rabbits and wildfowling.
Would love to be on the team and really have a part in making this game i'm so eager to play , the best it can be !

Re: Nominate yourself to become a Ranger
If your still in need of a ranger I would defiantly love the privilege and honor of being a ranger.
I also have experience testing very large mmos (eq, eq2, fallen earth, so on so forth) I am also a very experienced gamer, and very adept with the bug submission process and the ability to give details related to the issue.
*edit*
hehe I suppose I failed to think outside the box on that one Mr.Tibbs
*edit*
would also be nice to spend at least 2-8 hrs a night in game rather than trolling the forums how ever, If allowed I would be more than happy to post screen shots and help keep the community updated

Not everyone wants to be nominated, so we prefer to let you nominate yourselves. This way, we know you're really interested about becoming a Ranger.
